Often, being a little more focused allows us to finish our tasks better.
But there are plenty of distractions out there; the house needs to be cleaned, a call needs to be answered, or the dog needs to be taken out for a walk.
What will go wrong if the house stays dirty for another 30 minutes or if the call goes unanswered?
We might feel that its OK, the task isn't that important, and we won't allow ourselves to get distracted when we're doing something important.
Wrong.
Once we get into a habit of getting interrupted, it will pop up - no matter how important the task is.
