It doesn't happen every single day that you get up and decide to change your life.
But there are a few moments, few days where you get so tired of being what you have been. What do you do? go out with friends, drink, feel good about yourself, make some resolutions, come back home (or somewhere), sleep, and promptly get back to the same old stuff you loathe.
Don't.
Call that acquaintance up who might be able to help you. Hell, if things go down south, what would happen? You already have the shitty ass life you are frustrated about. There's a 50% chance of success anyway.
Go on a bike ride, if you are into that sort of things. Clear your head and see if your life is that bad after all.
Don't let others dictate your schedule. You do what you have to, do it in the best possible way, and get out. Just because others are sticking in doesn't mean you have to too.
In short, no matter what - don't look for positive reinforcements, words of encouragement, and most importantly - pity. If you look for them today, everything you wanted to do will get pushed to tomorrow, and tomorrow you'll think about the day after. Break that cycle.
Make the best use of THE NEXT MOMENT.
