“Fate’s on our side”, we think,
Funny how fast things change.
Was sailing in a dreamy ocean-
Now I stand in a carnage.
Not everythings lost, though,
Except perhaps the map.
The canoe’s intact,
And a plan for a new journey in my lap.
Have set the sails,
Waiting for the wind to come around;
Taking reins in my hand this time,
Determined to reach safe ground.
