Yet most of our decisions are based on those assumptions.
We assume that attending the latest job interview isn't worth it because there are many applicants, we assume we aren't going to succeed and don't try hard enough, and we assume we are going to be happy someday and get stuck in dead-end jobs.
What if our assumptions are polar opposites of what others think of us? Should we care?
