Bob Dylan.

I don't like his music, but I do like his lyrics and quotes.

He said, "A man is a success if he gets up in the morning and gets to bed at night, and in between he does what he wants to do."

No mention of monies or job. Just a man and something that he wants to do.

By that analogy, I haven't been a success until I resigned from my job. Two weeks into unemployment, to be precise.

The first few days  after I quit my job were a blur - trying to apply for new jobs, desperate to jump back in to the rat race.

Slowly, the realisation set in - I am not going to get one soon. The agencies take their own sweet time, and I can't do anything to speed up their decision making process.

Now that I have come to terms with it, I spend my days reading stuff which I have been putting off for a while now. There are so many books to read, movies and series to watch, and there's so much to write about.

Only if I could I find a way to earn money while doing this.
